The Unicorn finally revived?
After thunderous silence and no developments from the Choon team for what feels like an eternity, we finally heard from their CEO Bjorn Niclas today. The announcement? That Choon development was finally restarting and the first step taken was to unceremoniously boot fraudulent users and confiscate their NOTES crypto.
After a full user base audit and analysis, action has been taken against a number of the accounts who have participated in the most persistent and/or significant fraudulent activity over the past months. This action has resulted in several immediate account terminations, and the recovered NOTES (25M) being returned to the Streaming as Mining Pool where it was essentially stolen from. — Bjorn Niclas
As you might imagine, some people in the community are not happy at all with this development. I’ve seen a number of posts like this one.
Time will tell the outcome, but I sincerely hope that we can finally get back to making feature progress. Me and lots of other folks especially want to see a mobile app soon. In this day and age, a web-only app is dead in the water.
